SoHo Gallery Apartment

Architecture / Interior Design / Construction

Completed 2013. Size: 2,000 s.f, New York City

This airy artists loft was converted from a rustic, vintage studio into a lavishly furnished gallery inspired residence.

Long walls and high ceilings provided the perfect opportunity to showcase the owner’s many original works of art, while also having a sprawling living room, kitchen, and parlor. Centering the open space is a large stone plinth that is both a sculpture in itself as well as the kitchen island. The island, made entirely of stone slabs, has both integrated storage and sink, to be as functional as it is beautiful.

The linear kitchen runs the length of the open area, providing ample area to prepare food and entertain guests. Storage at the edge also incorporates a collapsible workstation, that can be hidden to free up even more space when not in use.

Each of the two bathrooms is lined with stone, marble, and custom vanities.

The powder room features a brilliant thassos stone and Raw textured Salvatori tile.

The primary bathroom is comprised entirely of a dignified gray statuario marble.

Custom matched and mirrored slabs create abstract murals and patterns on both the floors and walls.

The shower also incorporates multi-headed rainfalls and chroma-therapy for an unmatched experience.
